About RCCS

Our Mission & Vision

The Mission of Roever Classical Christian School is to partner with parents to provide families with an affordable classical Christian education so that students can lead change for the glory of God.

The Vision of Roever Classical Christian School is to accomplish our Mission by providing students with a classical Christian education in a collaborative environment that equally emphasizes the Arts of the Number, along with the Arts of the Word, and Liberty through the Art of History.

Statement of Non-discrimination: This school admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national origin in the administration of educational policies, extra-curricular activities, or other school administered programs (Romans 2:11).

Statement of Faith

Nicene Creed
We believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We affirm His life and works as outlined in the Nicene Creed.
We believe in one God,
            the Father, the Almighty,
            maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
            the only Son of God,
            eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
            true God from true God,
            begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
            he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit,
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
            and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again,
            in accordance with the Scriptures;
            he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Additional Deeply Held Religious Beliefs

List of 4 items.

  • We Believe in the Old & New Testaments

We believe in the authority of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as God’s word.

Because we believe that "all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness" (1 Tim. 3:16), we integrate the Scripture into everything we do and teach. This is the fundamental integrating concept that drives classical Christian education to be the most effective way to educate a child "so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim. 3:17).
  • We Believe that Parents are Primary Instructors

We believe that parents are the God-ordained, primary instructors of their children. “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:1-9).

For this reason, we partner with parents in a collaborative model through a University Style schedule where students spend half of their educational time in a traditional campus classroom component led by professional teachers and the other half of their time in a parent supervised home component with all lessons and assignments prepared and graded by professional teachers.
  • We Believe in God-Designed Progression of Learning

We believe in a God-designed progression of human learning (John 3:10-12, Acts 17:22-28 and 1 Corinthians 13:9-12).

Our classical approach is tailored to a child’s cognitive development by utilizing methods appropriate for the age of the student. Students in early grades (Grammar School) tend to think in concrete terms and have an amazing ability to memorize facts. Students in middle grades (Logic School) begin to develop reasoning and analytical abilities. Students in upper grades (Rhetoric School) think in more abstract terms and have greater interests in expressing themselves. Our classical approach leverages these age-related tendencies and “goes with the grain” of how children develop cognitively.
  • We Believe in the Ministry

We believe in the ministry of all Christians to influence the world around them in accordance with the honor and for the glory of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 29:4-9, Matthew 5:13-16 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

Although this education model is superior and will help a student be the very best student they can be, academic success is not our ultimately goal. Academic results will come, but impressive results are actually a side effect. The goal is to equip students to lead change for the glory of God. This is the Mission of our school; all the other benefits will come along with achieving this goal.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
