Grammar School math leverages the young child's incredible ability to memorize facts and rules. Students first learn the basics of math, including multiplication tables, as well as facts, rules, and operations. Spiral review ensures that students maintain their mastery of material they have already learned, as they move on to learn new material. This approach develops a logical way of thinking that leads to a love for math and the foundation to be successful in the higher math courses that follow. In Logic School, students are taught formal and informal logic to include how to recognize logical fallacies (parents beware!). In Logic School, Math is recognized as the basis for a strong foundation in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, and Engineering through Mathematics). Starting in 7th grade, classroom time is extended to allow additional time for teaching new concepts, board work, and independent student problem solving with teachers available for questions and guidance.
