Science

The approach to science in the Grammar School is to explore the physical world that students experience in their everyday lives while appealing to their natural sense of wonder. Students rotate in our Grammar Science rooms especially equipped to encourage participation from our little scientists! Students use their five senses to engage with the natural world and to experience God's creation. Students are exposed to the scientific method as presented in 1 Thessalonians 5:21 as a guide to observe phenomena, form hypotheses, develop tests and to better understand our world through analyzing results and formulating conclusions. In Logic and Rhetoric School, students are introduced to Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Beginning in the 7th grade, students begin a more academic approach to science in preparation for rigorous subjects to follow such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
